 Carolina Collectors Civil War Relics is a Kernersville based business that has been in business since the mid 1990's. Carolina Collectors first website was a cutting edge .ASP design that functioned much like today's CMS websites. The move and design posed some unique challenges to Elemental Maze due to the migration from a Windows and .ASP platform to a Linux and PHP platform. This also included the movement of a large amount of information that was being stored within a SQL Server database over to a MySQL database.
We are still working out details of an early launch, however the overall feedback of the new site has been well received. I would like to thank Carson Jenkins of Gray Cat Systems for his expert opinions related to all of the server related challenges we had to deal with through out the migration.

 At the end of September Greyhound Friends of NC asked me for some ideas on how they might increase their shopping cart sales. I didn't have to think very long about it because it's something that I've read many articles about and have always wanted to see it in action for myself. So I suggested that they offer free shipping for a set period of time.
They agreed and we launched the "Free Fall Shipping" campaign. In a word it was successful. Compared to the year before, GFNC was able to increase their online shopping cart sales by 255%.
I was happy and the GFNC board was happy. They decided to offer free shipping again during the Christmas season which began on November 27th and will run through Christmas Eve. This time around however, they have placed a minimum of $25 to qualify for free shipping. So far, the numbers are encouraging, let's hope the trend continues. |
